
ROCKY BOY, Mont. (NMB) – Officials with the Rocky Boy Health Center say that influenza cases are on the rise in Rocky Boy and surrounding counties.
A press release said there were nine confirmed influenza A cases in Rocky Boy last week.
Throughout the state, there have been well over 100 cases of influenza confirmed this year.
Local health officials recommend anyone that is eligible, which is everyone six months or older, should consider speaking with their healthcare provider about getting a flu shot.
Other tips to protect yourself from getting the flu or spreading it include avoiding contact with sick people, staying home when experiencing flu-like symptoms, avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth, washing your hands with soap and water frequently, and covering your cough.
