FORT BELKNAP AGENCY, Mont. (NMB) – In the wake of several COVID-19 cases being recently discovered in nearby reservations and counties, the Fort Belknap Indian Community is asking residents to take precautions to prevent the virus from spreading to their area.
The Fort Belknap Council wants to remind everyone that emergency orders remain in place. This includes a travel ban to COVID-19 hot-spots, a 14-day quarantine for those that feel sick or have traveled outside of the area and a 10 PM curfew. They are also asking everyone to wear masks when in public and to tell family and friends off the reservation not to travel to Fort Belknap.
Walk-in COVID-19 testing is available upon request at the Indian Health Service or Public Health Nurse Offices. Drive-thru testing is available at Fort Belknap Agency every Monday and Wednesday, and at Hays and Lodgepole every Thursday.
