FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMB) – On Tuesday, November 5th, Fort Belknap will be holding their tribal elections for several seats on the Fort Belknap Community Council.
For the River Gros Ventre District Representative, Dominic Messerly and Arlene “Healy” Cochran are facing off in the general elections.
In the Mountain Gros Ventre district, Geno Le Valdo and Warren Morin will face off.
For the Gros Ventre at Large Representative elected by Gros Ventre voters, Jeffrey Stiffarm Sr. and Lorraine Brockie will be on the ballots.
For the Gros Ventre Representative elected by both tribes, the candidates are Mike “Gopher” Fox and Wes Kill Eagle Sr.
In the River Assiniboine District, Nathaniel Mount and Donald Horn will be on the ballots.
For the Mountain Assiniboine District, the candidates are Lynn Cliff Jr. and Warren Bell.
For the Assiniboine at Large Representative elected by Assiniboine voters, Judy King and Curtis Horn are on the ballots.
And for the Assiniboine Representative elected by both tribes, the candidates are Brandi King and John Allen.
