FORT BENTON, Mont. (NMB) – Fort Benton’s biggest annual event returns on Friday with the kickoff of Summer Celebration.
The 45th annual iteration of the event runs through Sunday and will feature numerous free activities, from a fireworks display to a parade to live entertainment.
Organizer Connie Jenkins says this celebration wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for generous donors.
“Sometimes we get a small grant, but not a lot. It’s always done by donations. Donations from the different businesses and from individuals.”
Jenkins says they have a fantastic music lineup this year.
“We have music on Friday, we have music all day on Saturday and Saturday night. And the other thing that everybody loves, of course, is the fireworks.”
