Fort Peck Man Killed in 2 Vehicle Crash South of Glasgow

GLASGOW, Mont. (NMB) – A two vehicle crash south of Glasgow on Monday afternoon resulted in one fatality.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the crash occurred at around 3:20 PM Monday near mile marker 66 on Montana Highway 24 between Glasgow and Fort Peck.

A 2006 yellow Buell motorcycle and 2016 grey Ford F-350 were heading southbound when the motorcycle rear ended the pickup.

The motorcycle went off the left side of the road and the driver, a 65-year-old male from Fort Peck, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

The name of the victim has not been released.

The occupants of the F-350, the 52-year-old female driver and 20 year-old female passenger, both from Jordan, were wearing seat-belts and did not suffer injuries.

Alcohol and excessive speed are suspected factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
