(Havre) – Havre American Legion Post #11 has announced they will be at Stokes Market and North 40 Outfitters on Friday May 22nd, for National Poppy day.
The American Legion officially adopted the poppy as its memorial flower on September 27, 1920. In 2017, Congress officially designated the Friday before Memorial Day as National Poppy Day. The day honors the military personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice and supports living veterans.
The Poppy’s are given for a free will donation and all the money raised on National Poppy Day support American Legion Post #11 in their works supporting veterans and their families in the Havre area.
