(Havre) – In 2021 the Montana Legislature allocated funding for the Fish Wildlife and Parks field office in Havre to build a new building. On Monday, May 1st a scoping meeting will be taking place. Mark Kloker the communications and education program manager for FWP Regional 6 tells us about the reason for the scoping meeting .
“What we are doing on Monday May 1st, is doing a scoping meeting for an environmental assessment that will be put together in the preparation for the potential purpose of this property. And so, we’re just looking for anybody from the public that is interested of maybe what we’re doing and what this property is all about or what’s some plans we may have for it, to show up and any concerns that folks may have with perhaps purchasing this property that we could address in our environmental assessment.”-Kloker
The Proposed location of the new FWP Havre Field office is 21 River Road on the North Side of Havre. On Monday May 1st the scooping meeting takes place from 5pm until 7pm at the current Havre Field Office located at 2165 Highway Two East.
