(Helena) – Montana Fish Wildlife, and Parks is seeking public comment on the CCAA Stockwater Development Draft Chcklist Enviromental Assesment.
The purpose of this project is to increase healthy riparian habitat along the Big Hole River and its tributaries Pintlar Creek, Howell Creek, Warm Springs Creek, Ruby Creek, Moose Creek, Swamp Creek, Big Lake Creek, and North Branch of Big Swamp Creek within the Arctic Grayling Big Hole Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (CCAA) program.
The improvements are intended to directly benefit Arctic graying by providing off-stream water opportunities and protecting the riparian areas, while supporting agriculture. Partial funding would be provided through the Future Fisheries Improvement Program. Comments are due by August 14th and you can find details on the FWP Website.
