(Helena) – An amendment is being proposed for the February 16th Fish and Wildlife meeting agenda.
The proposed amendment would establish a new Bear Management Unit for the Deer and Elk Hunting District 565 and the western section of Hunting District 525.
The proposal would deduct Fall and spring female harvest quota from the current fall and spring quotas and set a spring season opener of May 25th with a close date once the female quota is reached or June 15th, whichever is earlier.
