BOZEMAN, Mont. — Carpentry students at Gallatin College Montana State University are putting their skills to work for local communities.
As part of their training, students built two dog kennels for Haven, a nonprofit helping domestic abuse survivors, and a calf shelter for Rocky Boy’s Nation.
The projects provide lasting shelter for pets and livestock while giving students hands-on experience and a sense of purpose.
The college partners with nonprofits each year to create durable, community-focused structures through its one-year carpentry certificate program.
