The Havre Elks Lodge put on a generous opportunity to prepare for the winter. In both December and November, the Havre Elks Lodge hosted a blanket drive.
Brandy Kurtz, a member of the Elks Lodge explains how those blanket drives went.
“Well between November and December we were able to give probably about 175 to 200 blankets, sheets, comforters, everything bedding wise away. The November one didn’t go as well, we only had a few people show up, but the December one people came, and they took everything. Usually, we run it for about two hours, we were done in an hour and 15 minutes, and everything was taken, so that’s good, and I did some here cause people would drop it off at Western Trailer Sales and it got really cold a couple weeks. So, I just had them pick up stuff here and it was all taken right away as soon as we put it on Tradio and Facebook.”-Brandy Kurtz
