(Helena) – Montana Governor Greg Gianforte has issued an executive order to waive hours-of-service limits for in-state gasoline and diesel delivery drivers. The order aligns state rules with a federal waiver meant to combat supply chain pressures and high fuel demand.
Gianforte says the move ensures fuel keeps moving without unnecessary red tape. Mandatory driver rest breaks and safety protections will remain in place. The order takes effect immediately and runs through December 16th.
