Glacier High hosts Governor Gianforte

(Kalispell) – During a visit to Glacier High School in Kalispell, Governor Gianforte highlighted expansions made to Montana’s Advanced Opportunities program.

House Bill 257 doubled the amount of individual elementary, high school and K through 12 receive through this program, while increasing the percentage that goes directly to students.

This program strives to expand work-based and personalized learning outside of the classroom in order to offer students opportunities to explore their options in the workplace.

Glacier High School is now in it’s second year of the work-based learning program and it offers 44 students internships with business’s that range from plumbing, electrical, law, medicine, engineering, and other small businesses.
