(HELENA) – Governor Greg Gianforte on Wednesday announced his appointment of Rebecca Swandal to serve on the Sixth Judicial District Court, which includes Park and Sweetgrass Counties. Swandal will fill the vacancy created by Sixth Judicial District Judge Brenda Gilbert’s retirement
Swandal graduated from the University of Montana in 2005 and the University of Montana School of Law in 2009. She has served as an attorney for 13 years with the law office formed by her grandmother in 1967.
“Rebecca is an accomplished attorney who brings both civil and criminal experience, serving Montanans in Park and Sweet Grass counties for over a decade,” Gov. Gianforte said. “I look forward to her service on the Sixth Judicial District Court.”
