HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Governor Steve Bullock has confirmed four positive COVID-19 cases in Montana.
The cases were found in Gallatin, Yellowstone, Silver Bow and Lewis and Clark.
All patients are in their 40s and 50s.
In a statement Bullock said, “We’ve been monitoring this rapidly evolving situation and vigorously preparing for COVID-19 to reach Montana, making today’s news unsurprising. As our public health officials work relentlessly to prevent further spread, I urge all Montanans to continue efforts to plan and follow public health recommendations to take the proper precautions.”
Tests were made by the DPHHS Public Health Laboratory and were confirmed Friday, March 13. These tests will still be confirmed by the Centers of Disease Control (CDC).
Right now, Montana can test up to 1,000 people but they expect to receive more COVID-19 testing kits from the CDC as Montanans need them.
