MONTANA (NMB) – Governor Steve Bullock and Senators Steve Daines and Jon Tester announced the arrival of 5,000 nasal testing swabs from FEMA over the weekend.
The swabs first arrived in Helena at the state’s DPHHS warehouse and are now in the process of being allocated to COVID-19 testing facilities.
All parties joined in saying they were pleased the federal government listened to their pleas for more testing kits, but Bullock and Tester concluded that more supplies are needed.
Bullock has continued to participate in weekly phone conferences with President Trump and other state governors on how to best address Montana’s current COVID-19 needs.
