Governor Seeking Public Comment on Judge Vacancies

(HELENA)– Governor Greg Gianforte announced on August 28th, he is seeking public comment on applicants to fill two vacancies in the Thirteenth Judicial District in Yellowstone County

Members of the public can provide letters of support or other comments regarding the applicants through Monday, September 29, 2025, at 5 p.m.

The governor has received six applications from the following attorneys, whose applications may be found at nominatejudges.mt.gov:

Seth Cunningham
Laurie Grygiel
Eric Hummel
Bradley Kneeland
Colin Rubich
Edward Zink
Members of the public should submit letters or other comments by email to nominatejudges@mt.gov

Applicants must receive at least three letters of support to be considered for appointment by the governor
