HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – Governor Greg Gianforte is accepting applications from and nominations of any lawyer in good standing to serve as a District Court Judge for the 10th District, which serves Fergus, Judith Basin and Petroleum Counties.
Gianforte was notified of the opening by the Chief Justice Mike McGrath of the Montana Supreme Court.
The application form is available electronically at nominatejudges.mt.gov. Applications must be submitted electronically and in hard copy by 5 PM on Tuesday, April 19th.
The public will have the opportunity to provide letters of support or other comments on applicants from April 20th through May 19th by emailing nominatejudges@mt.gov.
Applicants must receive at least three letters of support to be considered for appointment by the governor.
