JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – A 40-year-old Great Falls man died following a single-vehicle crash on Friday on I-15 in Jefferson County.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at 4:45 PM at mile marker 163 of I-15 north, when a Ford 500 exited the right side of the roadway and impacted the guard rail head on. The vehicle overturned onto the driver’s side. The driver sustained critical injuries and was transported by air ambulance to St. James in Butte, then St. Vincent in Billings where he succumbed to his injuries early Sunday morning.
The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Drugs, alcohol or excessive speed are all not suspected factors in the crash.
