RAVALLI COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – A 43-year-old Hamilton man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Ravalli County on Wednesday evening.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at 6:39 PM on Pleasant View Drive near the town of Victor.
The man was driving a GMC Sierra eastbound when it drifted off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle overcorrected to the left and went off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then slid broadside into a tree and came to rest against the tree.
The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was declared dead at the scene.
There were no other occupants of the vehicle.
Alcohol and excessive speed are suspected factors in the crash.
The road was dry.
