(Havre) The Havre Airport’s Air Traffic Control is based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Just like the rest of the country, they’re facing a shortage of controllers.
Chase Stoner, Chair of the Havre Airport Board, says that many of Havre Airport’s traffic are medical flights; saying that usually when the townsfolk hear a helicopter flying overhead, it’s a medical flight to a hospital.
The shortage affecting the country, and by extension, Havre, is something that Stoner says may cause flights to take longer to get approval, which can cause delays in air-medical services.
