(Havre) A new mural that simply reads “Havre” has been finished in the newly titled Havre Art Alley, which is the area between Third and Fourth avenue.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Madison Ruff, the mural artist responsible for the painting, to get her comments about the finished piece.
“I designed it based on an old vintage Havre postcard that I used as inspiration. So it has the filigree ‘greetings from’ and then the block lettering ‘Havre’. The colors kind of came from the post card as well. The fancy font on the top was kind of inspired by the post card as well.”
More art murals are planned for Havre, and many of which will have Ruff as the artist, such as a patriotic themed painting planned for the Legion Park.
