Havre Beneath the Streets to Extend ATV Raffle into Fall

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre Beneath the Streets is still in need of funding to help repair the sidewalk at the end of their tour, so they are extending their fundraiser for a 2019 Can-Am Outlander all-terrain vehicle into the fall.

Christy Owens, office manager for Beneath the Streets, says a final date has not been set for the end of the raffle.

“We’re shooting for the end of the month, but we’ve still got a little ways to go,” Owens says. “We may have to go a little bit into October. So we’re encouraging everyone that is interested in purchasing a raffle ticket to come into our office.”

Beneath the Streets estimates the total cost for repairing the sidewalk at $220,000, $80,000 of which may come via a Montana tourism matching grant next summer.

“We don’t have the funds to be able to hit that matching marker,” Owens says. “Our goal is to try to continue to fundraise and hopefully we’ll be hitting that target when that window opens again next summer to apply for that particular grant.”

Raffle Tickets are $20 each or six for $100 and can be purchased at Beneath the Streets, Red’s Auto, Havre Eagles Club, Hill County Printing and Northern Home Essentials.
