Havre City Council Meeting – 6/3/2025

(Havre) The Havre City Council met Monday for their monthly business meeting.

The Council started the meeting by approving an adjustment to the budget to allow for a grant to buy new EMS jackets for the Havre Fire Department.

The Council also adjusted the budget to allow for the purchase of grain rescue equipment for the Havre Fire Department as well.

The board also approved the purchase of a washer and dryer for the animal shelter, which was funded by a donation.

A resolution was passed that blight exists in certain areas of Havre. Bear Paw Development says this is the first step in creating a Tax Increment District in Havre.

The Council then approved reappointments to various boards and committees.

The meeting ended with a presentation update from Havre Public Works Director Trevor Mork on the progress of the two water projects in town.

June 4th will also start the beginning of the voluntary water conservation measures being put into place by the city of Havre. The city is asking that residents be mindful of their non-essential water uses.

The next meeting is scheduled for July 7th
