(NMB) It’s been a busy fall for the Havre Blue Pony boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams. They are nearing the end of their season and Head Coach Erin Lynch says each group has shown steady improvement every time they run. “We’ve been looking at that constant improvement over the season and some of these kids, just when I think I can’t ask any more of them, here they go with another thirty second, a minute, minute and a half PR.”
This week both boys’ and girls’ teams will run at the Eastern “A” Fall classic in Sidney on Friday. Coach Lynch says she’s looking for her number 3, 4 and 5 runners to work together. “Those runners can really increase or decrease the total score of the team. So, we’re looking for those runners to work together and get the lowest scores they possibly can.”
This Friday will be the final tune up before the State cross country meet which is scheduled for October 22nd in Missoula.
