The Havre Blue Ponies cross country team competed in a crowded field at the Mountain West Classic in Missoula. 369 girls ran, while 449 boys took to the course.
For the Havre girls, they topped out in 37th place. Junior Hailey Gingery led the charge for the Blue Ponies, running a 21:49:07, which was good for 122nd place overall. Sophomore Paige Anderson was the second finisher for Havre, clocking it at 22:59:03.
The Havre boys finished in 45th place out of 80 schools. Senior Caleb Tomac continued to lead the Blue Ponie pack as he also finished individually in 45th place with a 16:44 5K time. Sophomore Mason Gregoire was the second Blue Pony runner to cross the finish line at 18:42.07.
Havre will next run in the Great Falls Invite, which is scheduled for Sept. 29 at 3pm.
