Havre, MT – Havre High girls basketball will head to Hardin Friday night looking to secure their nineth straight win of the season, before a quick turnaround to host Miles City Saturday night.
Havre high head coach Tommy Brown says his team has to limit their own turnovers and their opponents’ scoring opportunities to maintain their untarnished record.
“I think its kind of been the key for us all year, not giving those teams extra possessions through turn overs or offensive rebounds. Just really taking away these easy scoring opportunities from them is going to give us the chance to win both games.” Coach Brown told New Media Broadcasters.
If the Blue Ponies win on the road at Hardin Friday, it will set up a battle of the unbeaten in Havre against Miles City who is 7-0 and coming off of a close win over Hardin.
Tipoff Friday night is set for 6p.m. followed by the Havre boys at 7:30. On Saturday the games will tip a little earlier at 4p.m. for the girls and 5:30p.m. for boys.
