Havre, MT – Havre High softball finished the year 8-12-1 after bowing out of the state tournament in two games. The Blue Ponies lost to Frenchtown 24-11 and then to Laurel 13-1.
Havre head coach Tony Vigliotti said that despite the losing record and rough finish to the season, his team reached their goal and grew in multiple ways.
“Well I think that there is no doubt that we got better from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. It was our goal to get to the state tournament and we did that, and we hard to work hard to get to that state tournament. When East Helena came here for the play in game we played what I thought was one of our best games of the year. This young group grew all year and experienced that state tournament and so we’re looking forward as we move ahead with the program.” Coach stated.
