HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre High School Key Club will be wrapping Christmas gifts at the Holiday Village Mall to raise money for their organization. Key Club Advisor Heather Haney says that the money they raise will provide gifts to one needy family with a child at Havre High School.
“It is a free will donation to have your Christmas presents wrapped and we are there Saturday from 10 to 6, Sunday from 12 to 6 and that’ll be this weekend and next weekend and then also on Christmas Eve. We’ll probably be there from 9 until maybe lunchtime.”
Haney says all of the money they raise go back to the community.
“So all of the money from Christmas Wrap, we use to buy Christmas presents for the families of students at Havre High that are in need. So instead of just doing an Angel Tree gift where you can go and buy presents for one kid or a couple of kids off the Angel Tree, we pick a kid from Havre High that is in need, and their whole family gets presents.”
Haney says they will wrap gifts no matter where they were purchased. They usually raise around $1,000 during this event.
