GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – A Havre man appeared in U.S. District Court in Great Falls last week and pleaded not guilty to two felony assault charges.
Joseph Tyler Henderson, 27, was arraigned on charges of assault by strangulation and assault resulting in substantial bodily injury.
The charges were issued in a Grand Jury indictment filed on September 3rd. It states that on February 27th, 2020, on the Rocky Boy’s Reservation, Henderson intentionally assaulted and strangled his dating partner, resulting in substantial bodily injury.
If convicted of the most serious crime, Henderson faces a maximum 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release. Henderson was released pending further proceedings.
