Havre Man Sentenced after Pleading Guilty to 2 Felonies

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A Havre man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to two felonies in Hill County District Court.

Zakery Dale Jones, born in 1986, was given a pair of three year sentences with the Department of Corrections last week after pleading guilty to two counts of felony possession of dangerous drugs.

As per the plea agreement, the three misdemeanors Jones was charged with in this case were dismissed.

These sentences will run concurrently with the three year sentence with the Department of Corrections Jones was issued in late May 2020 for violating a suspended sentence for the felony of issuing a bad check of at least $1,500.

Jones was also given a five year suspended sentence last year after being convicted of felony forgery by common scheme. That sentence will run consecutively with the other sentences.

Jones remains in the Hill County Detention Center, where he has been since May 2nd, 2020.
