HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A 23-year-old Havre man walked away from a Billings pre-release center on Saturday morning and has been placed on escape status.
Alternatives, Inc. CEO David Armstrong says that Zachariah Lee Ambler walked away from the Alpha House Men’s Pre-Release Center at 8:20 AM. He says Ambler would have been eligible for release within six months, but the escape charge brings the potential of a ten year sentence.
Ambler is described as a white man with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, and has some tattoos. He was most recently sentenced for criminal possession of dangerous drugs out of Lake County last August.
The Department of Corrections has issued an arrest warrant for Ambler. They have asked for assistance in locating Ambler, but advised the public not to approach him.
