Havre, MT – With the wild early summer weather, Northstar baseball has played eight games so far and will add four more at their annual Jamboree this weekend.
Northstar baseball head coach Ben Mader told New Media Broadcasters what fans can expect and what teams will be making the trip to Havre.
“A lot of good baseball. We have the Gallatin Valley Outlaws, they’re historically well coached and very good. The Glasgow reds will be here. Out of our conference there is going to be us, Tri-county cardinals, Medicine Hat Knights, I believe Glendive Blue Devils and Butte, Butte is going to be here as well. There is going to be a lot of games, three days that are going to be packed full of baseball.”
The Jamboree will go all day Friday through Sunday, with the Northstars playing two games Friday night and two games in the later afternoon on Sunday. At 6p.m. Friday Havre will take on the Gallatin Valley Outlaws and finish the night against the Butte Miners at 8p.m.
Sunday the Northstars start play at 2p.m. against the Glendive Blue Devils and will conclude the Jamboree against the Glasgow Reds at 4:30p.m.
