Havre Organizations Contribute to MSUN’s Community Center

The MSUN community center offers a variety of helpful services to help students succeed. In particular they have a food pantry and a dress for success program that gives students clothes for a job interview or the like, free of charge.

Now, the MSUN Community center has recently received donations from multiple organizations within Havre. Jen Tomac the Student Coordinator for MSUN explains more.

“We’ve had a lot of individuals and groups drop off donations. We’re always collecting for the food pantry, and our dress for success program that helps students with job interview clothing and attire. We have had some churches that have faithfully donated each month. I also just had an opportunity to work with Rebecca down at Helping Haven, and they have been amazing. They let us come down, I brought a couple of our students, volunteers that were also serving in getting their community service hours. We had a lot of fun. We went down to Helping Haven and helped her organize some of her back room and their inventory that is overstocked and then went shopping for our students to help supply our clothing pantry. So that was great for Helping Haven to hop on board with us. I’ve also gotten some emails, from different organizations, throughout our community that I am very excited to follow up on and get some things on the calendar that we can start working together on.” -Jen Tomac
