Havre Police Department Investigates Zip Trip Robbery

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre Police are investigating after the Highland Park Zip Trip was allegedly robbed Tuesday night by an individual that brandished a pistol.

Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich says they were notified of the robbery at 10:45 PM by the manager of the store.

When officers arrived, the suspect had already left.

Matosich says the suspect appears to be a teenager, and they stole a case of beer.

Matosich says that they have received excellent leads and evidence and believe they have identified the suspect. He says they could face charges including robbery, assault with a weapon and theft by shoplifting. Depending on their age, they could also face charges of minor in possession of alcohol, as well as a curfew violation.

No arrests had been made as of 3 PM Wednesday, but Matosich says they will keep the public updated.
