Havre Public School Board Vacancy Filled

(Havre) – The Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees has a new member. Tuesday night, the board appointed Brady Murphy to fill the vacancy left by Tim Schelle who resigned earlier this year. Murphy was selected over two other candidates—Doctor Douglas Dightman and former board chair Doctor Curtis Smeby. Following a six-question interview and board discussion, Murphy was approved on a six-to-one vote.

Murphy will serve until the May 2027 school board election. He will need to run in that election to retain the seat.
