The Havre Softball Team bounced back from their weekend split with a dominant outing in their double header matchup vs Miles City on Monday. The Blue Ponies game away with (17-2) & (15-0) victories, an aggregate win of (32-2).
In the (17-2) victory Havre’s two pitchers Elle Verploegen and Rachel Jette combined for a no hitter in the matchup. Avery Carlson batted 4-5 at the plate with a double, two singles, and her 2nd homerun of the season. Hannah Gingery also had a home run in the 2nd inning.
In the (15-0) victory, pitcher Elle Verploegen pitched a no-hitter. Verploegen ended her day pitching 4 innings, allowing 0 runs on 0 hits with 8 strikeouts. Havre scored 10 runs in the 2nd inning and never looked back.
The Lady Blue Ponies sit at (5-1) on the season, their next matchup scheduled on the road at Sidney on Friday at 3PM.
