The Havre Softball Team is gearing up for the Billings Jamboree this weekend in Billings for their first action of the season. The Lady Blue Ponies will have four different matches in the jamboree.
The Lady Blue Ponies Softball Team will have two weeks of practice under their belt before getting into action this week. Due to the Montana weather, all practices thus far have been held indoors. When asked about the effects of indoor practices only, head coach Tony Vigliotti did not seem concerned:
“We are getting lots of reps. One of the advantages we have is we had two good seniors last year, they’re not here anymore, but most of our kids are back. They know what we expect, they know what to do, and it is what it is until the weather clears up.” – Vigliotti
Coach Vigliotti enters his 6th season as the Softball Head Coach. When asked if he’s still learning and adjusting, he responds you’re always learning and credits his team for making it easier:
“Well, I think if you quit learning then you should probably be done. We’re fortunate to have a good group of girls back. They’ve worked hard this offseason and it’s a group of girls that frankly does everything.” – Vigliotti
Goodluck to the Havre Softball Team in their first action of the season this weekend in Billings.
