Havre Tennis Results – Great Falls Invite

The Havre tennis teams competed on Tuesday afternoon in Great Falls and had duals with Great Falls High and CMR High School.

In the dual with Great Falls High, the teams put up mirrored results where the singles went well and the doubles did not for the girls’, while the opposite took place for the boys’. Singles winners for the Blue Pony girls included Heather Herring, (6-0, 6-0), Tyley Hemmer, (6-3, 6-1), and Lindsey Leinwand, (7-6 (3), 6-4). Kylee McNew and Jaidyn Cole won the lone Havre girls’ doubles match, (6-3, 5-7, 10-8). While the Havre boys’ were swept by the Bison in singles, the Blue Ponies took three of the four doubles matches. They were led by the Spangler brothers (6-0, 6-2), Reid Kato and Callen Stoner, (6-2, 6-3), and Mason Kinsella with Carter Chagnon, (6-0, 6-0).

Havre had more fits with CMR. The Rustlers had the upper hand in both the boys’ and girls’ tennis matches, winning the overall battle in both singles and doubles. Leinwand was a girls’ singles winner, defeating her opponent, (6-4, 6-4), while Kinsella and Chagnon won a doubles match for Havre, (6-3, 7-5).

The Blue Ponies will hit the road once again for the Dawson County Invite on Friday and Saturday.
