For Saturday’s Havre Invite, the seniors on both Blue Pony teams were honored in a brief ceremony before play got underway. This double-elimination tournament consisted of two completed singles tournaments and one doubles tournament that were recorded.
The Havre boys’ were dominant in the doubles pairings as Max Spangler and Carter Chagnon won each of their three matches, including surviving a first-round tiebreak before cruising in the other two matches by dropping just three total games.
In girls’ singles, Kylee McNew won her tournament as the No. 8 seed in the field. She did so in the same matter as the Blue Pony doubles champions with a first-round tiebreaker.
Blue Pony tennis will be playing in this weekend’s Cut Bank ‘A’ Invite, which is scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
