(Havre) – In 2024, Bear Paw Development was awarded a pilot tourism grant through the Montana Department of Commerce. Sara Strissel from Bear Paw Development explains more about this grant.
“This grant was funded through bed tax which everybody pays if they utilize a hotel in the state of Montana. It was awarded to Bear Paw Development and it was a 2.15 million dollar grant to just kind of spruce up Havre and make it more inviting for tourists to eventually drop a lot of money into our economy. So, it’s very beneficial.”
Bear Paw Development working with community partners to strengthen Havre’s tourism experience, improve downtown vibrancy, and support local businesses.
