Havre’s 4th of July Festival was a Hit

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The annual 4th of July Festival was well received in Pepin Park in Havre on Thursday. The community was treated to a free barbeque and live music from several local performers. Event Director Sherri Simonson says they served about 1,000 plates of food. While that number is down from last year, Simonson says that they usually get more people when the event is in the middle of the week.

“We had a full park. Lot’s of activities, things for kids to do and snow cones and nachos and our regular, traditional picnic lunch. We probably fed just shy of 1,000 people, well plates. Sometimes people come through for seconds.”

Simonson says that they had perfect weather for the event, which was a hit.
