Havre, MT – Havre High senior Dax Oswalt announced his commitment to play basketball for the Midland University Warriors next year.
Blue Pony head coach Walyn Burgess told New Media Broadcasters what the Warriors are getting in Dax.
“Dax just got a lot of skills. He’s put a lot of time in the gym to get this opportunity. for that university to get a kid like him, he’s got growing to do he understands its like a reset button for him but it’s an opportunity to keep playing basketball.”
Coach Burgess expanded on what Oswalt enjoyed about his visit. “He really fit in with the guys; he really liked the coaching staff. for them to get a kid like that, that just wants to start from the bottom and work his way back up. It’s going to be a great opportunity for him.”
Oswalt was the leading scorer for the Blue Ponies in his senior season averaging 17.1 points per game along with 4.8 rebounds. Midland University is Freemont, Nebraska and finished their 2025-2026 campaign with an 11-17 overall record.
