(City of Havre) On Monday, February 23rd, the City of Havre lifted the health advisory on the city water supply.
On January 28th, the Havre Public Works found a valve failure caused filtered water turbidity to exceed the maximum allowable levels. the filter is not currently being used, and will remain out of service until proper repairs can be made.
The water treatment plant had been monitored since the failure, and was found to meet Department of Environmental Quality requirements, thus ending the advisory.

The Havre Water Treatment Plant experienced a filter valve failure on the 28th of January
2026 that caused filtered water turbidity (cloudiness) to exceed the maximum allowable
level. Following the valve failure, the corresponding filter was taken out of service. This
filter is currently not being utilized and will remain out of service until the appropriate
repairs can be made.
Since the filter valve failure on the 28th of January, the Havre Water Treatment Plant has
been closely monitored and has demonstrated consistent treatment that meets DEQ
treatment requirements. The health advisory issued on 29 January 2026 is lifted.
