(Hi-Line) As homelessness across the country rose by almost 20 percent in the past year, one contributing factor listed by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development was the availability of housing in the nation.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Kim Cripps of Havre Hi-Line Realty to ask about the market behavior for affordable houses in the Hi-Line region of Montana.
“Right now, in the market we are seeing a shortage of homes that are in the media price range, which is where most of our buyers are at from say, 250 [thousand] down to 100 thousand, that are able to be sold and not have to have a lot of work”
Cripps says that the current market is seeing around 50 total homes available, and 25 of them are what would be considered an affordable housing price range.
