TURNER, Mont. (NMB) – Numerous schools along the Hi-Line are in the middle of transitions into or out of in-person learning.
Turner Public Schools moved to remote learning on Monday afternoon. The pause in in-person learning is expected to last at least through the remainder of this school week, which concludes on Thursday. A reason for the closure has not been provided.
Box Elder Schools resumed in-person learning on Monday. The District was in distanced learning on Friday. According to a press release, there were multiple positive COVID-19 cases associate with the Elementary School, and one case associated with the Junior High. This led to a staff shortage due to the amount of people in quarantine.
Rocky Boy Junior/Senior High was in remote learning on Monday due to a water line break. As a result, water was shut off in the building. Superintendent Voyd St. Pierre says the closure will last at least through Wednesday. They are working with contractors to remedy the issue as soon is possible, but it is not an easy fix and will require drilling through concrete and ensuring the availability of contractors.
