High-speed chase in Blaine County ends with arrests

(Blaine County) Police say a high speed chase spanning two counties concluded with two arrests at around 5am Wednesday morning.

At around 11:40pm Tuesday, a vehicle suspected of transporting drugs led police on a high speed chase before briefly escaping. At 4am Wednesday morning, the vehicle was spotted parked at a residence before leading police on another high speed chase. Police were able to spike the drivers tires, causing them to finally surrender to police.

The driver, identified as Levi Newton and the passenger as Brooke Newton, were both taken into custody and transported to Valley County Detention center. Police say the investigation is still on going, and there is no further danger to the public.
