Hill Co. Conservation District to Stay Open if Government Shuts Down

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – While the nation awaits word as to whether non-essential federal office will be closed, the Hill County Conservation District may be affected by the shut-down.

Administrator Kathleen Whitaker says that while the Hill County Conservation District is located in the USDA building near Havre, they are operated through the Hill County government. This would require a possible office relocation during the furlough. Whitaker says she will remain available and willing to assist people if the shutdown were to happen.

During this time, the phone number to reach the Hill County Conservation District will be 406-591-9627.
