HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Health Department received notice of 13 new COVID-19 cases, seven recoveries, and one new hospitalization on Sunday.
Nine of the cases were found through contact tracing, three currently have unknown exposures and one is travel-related.
These numbers do not include any new cases from Rocky Boy, as the Health Department did not receive a report from them on Sunday.
Hill County has now reported 369 total COVID-19 cases. 155 are active, including three hospitalizations. 207 have recovered and seven have died.
Nine new cases are associated with Havre Public Schools, all of which were in contact with the District during the period of possible exposure.
Here is a breakdown of the cases:
- One individual last in contact with the District at Havre Middle School on September 30th
- One individual last in contact with the District at Havre High School on September 30th
- Two individuals last in contact with the District at Sunnyside Elementary and Havre Middle School on October 6th
- Two individuals last in contact with the District at Highland Park on October 7th
- One individual last in contact with the District at Havre High School on October 7th
- One individual last in contact with the District at Sunnyside on October 7th
- One individual last in contact with the District at Sunnyside on October 8th
Those at risk of exposure will be contacted to determine a safe and appropriate course of action.
Havre Public Schools has now reported a total of 20 District-associated COVID-19 cases.
As of Friday, 144 students and 25 staff across the District were either in isolation (COVID-19 positive) or quarantine (identified as a close contact).
The District remains in a hybrid learning model and continues to follow CDC guidelines, and a regular Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for Tuesday night.
