HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Commission met in the Courthouse on Wednesday morning for their weekly business meeting.
The Commission approved a budget amendment to add an additional $7,129 into their COVID-19 immunization program. Funds for this program, which now totals $16,100 are being provided by the state health department. The contract runs through June 30th, and Health Officer Kim Larson says they expect to receive additional funding down the line.
Also at Wednesday’s meeting, the Commission approved a rider for their maintenance agreement contract with Kone for the elevator in the Courthouse, which was recently repaired after being out of operation since late August. The rider increases the County’s annual agreement with Kone by roughly $700. In exchange, Kone will perform a scheduled load test on the elevator in 2024.
The Commission also approved the payment of the annual $100 fee to remain a member of the Highway 2 Association, which has been led by Bob Sivertsen since 2001.
The Commission also announced the following board appointments:
- Michelle Burchard to the Fair Board
- Judi Gomke to the Tax Appeals Board (re-appointment)
- Russ Twedt to the Mount Royal TV Board
The Commission will be spending much of this Thursday interviewing finalists for the two open MSU-Extension Agent positions with Hill County. A formal announcement on hiring’s is expected in the coming weeks.
